So far we have looked at a few ways to digitize your content. But what if you work in the learning and development (L&D) department of a corporation? And, you have been given the responsibility of transforming digital content for your company’s employees. Where do you start?

Content Transformation Process at Learnsure AI
Over the last few years, the Learnsure AI team has been working on content transformation projects for several corporate clients. We have transformed hundreds of traditional content pieces into digital content. Today, we are going to share our content transformation process with you.
1. Discovery and Planning
The first step in our content transformation process is discovery and planning. During this phase, we work with our clients to understand their needs and objectives. We also assess the existing content to see what can be reused and what needs to be created from scratch. Once we have a good understanding of the project, we create a detailed plan that outlines the scope of work and the timeline for the project.
2. Content Analysis and Mapping
The next step in our process is content analysis and mapping. During this phase, we analyze the existing content to see how it can be mapped to the new digital format. This is an important step in the process because it ensures that all of the essential information is retained in the new content.
3. Existing Platform Analysis
In this phase, we assess the existing content platform the client is using. This helps us to determine if any limitations need to be considered when designing the new content. Sometimes the platform is simply old and updated. It lacks certain features that would be beneficial for the content. If that’s the case, we suggest an alternative platform that would be a better fit for the content. If not, we work with the client to determine how to best utilize the existing platform.
4. New Digital Learning Platform
As content creators, we are familiar with a variety of digital learning platforms. In fact, Learnsure AI has its LXP (Learning Experience Platform) to host modern digital content. If clients are looking to host xAPI, SCORM, or video content, we suggest using our LXP. But you can choose any other digital learning platform that you prefer.
5. Instructional Design
Once we have a solid understanding of the client’s needs, we begin the instructional design process. This is where we determine how the content will be delivered and what type of interactions will be included. We also create any necessary graphics or videos that will be used in the content.
6. Content Development
After the instructional design is complete, we begin developing the content. This is where we take all of the information and turn it into a digital format. We also add any necessary interactions or multimedia elements. We have an established content development process.
Generally, a large part of existing content is outdated. We replace it with new ideas, examples, and sources without losing the essence of the original content. Our team of instructional designers and content creators are experts at this.
After the research is complete, our writers (SMEs) start repurposing the old content and adding new content as per the requirement. The writing is done keeping in mind the target audience, the objectives of the course, and the delivery format.
ii) Storyboarding and Design:
After the content is written, our team of instructional designers and visual designers creates a storyboard for the course. The storyboard outlines the flow of the course and how the content will be delivered. It also includes information on the type of interactions and multimedia elements that will be used in the content.
Once the storyboard is approved, our developers start creating the digital content. They add all of the interactions and multimedia elements that were outlined in the storyboard. We use Articulate and iSpring Suite to develop most of our courses. These are industry-leading authoring tools that allow us to create high-quality, engaging content.
iv) Quality Assurance:
After the content is developed, our quality assurance team reviews it to ensure that it meets all of the client’s requirements. They also test the content to make sure that it is free of any errors.
7. Implementation and Launch
Once the content is developed and approved, we work with the client to implement it on their digital learning platform. We also provide support during the launch phase to ensure that everything goes smoothly.
8. Evaluation and Reporting
After the content is launched, we evaluate its performance and provide detailed reports to the client. We also make recommendations for any necessary changes or updates.
